General Disinfectant (GDS)

Disinfectant spray bottle and cloth on a reception counter

A reception counter at the end of a long day is different from an unused meeting room. People touch one all day; the other may barely get a visit. That's why a disinfection plan should begin with how the space is used, rather than a promise to spray every corner.

General Disinfection Service (GDS) is intended for suitable surfaces and shared areas in homes and workplaces. We discuss the rooms, high-touch points, access requirements, and any materials that may need special care before deciding the scope. A clinic reception, office common area, or household living space can each call for a different approach. You should know what is included, what needs cleaning first, and whether there are instructions to follow before using the area again.

Disinfection isn't magic. The product has to suit the surface, be used as directed, and remain in contact for the required time. It also can't replace routine cleaning, hand hygiene, or the regular care of a busy property. We'd rather be clear about those limits than make a sweeping claim about an entire building.

Timing can make the visit easier. A workplace may prefer an appointment outside its busiest hours, while a household may need time to clear a few surfaces first. Tell us about equipment, sensitive materials, or rooms that cannot be accessed. Those details help define what can be treated and prevent a hurried job that misses the surfaces you actually care about.

If you're arranging a one-time visit or reviewing how shared areas are maintained, tell us what the space is used for and when it can be accessed. We'll help plan work that fits the setting and causes as little disruption as practical.
